However, this enraged state is less aggressive than if the player were to fight her in any other surface biome, such as the Forest or Ocean. When fought on the Surface Jungle, the Queen Bee will still enter an enraged state with faster and more aggressive attacks. (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) When fought outside of the Underground Jungle, the Queen Bee enrages, causing her movements to become more aggressive and firing stingers at a much faster rate. Additionally, she will inflict the Poisoned debuff upon direct contact with the player for 2–8 / 2.5–10 seconds. The Queen Bee's defense also increases up to a maximum of 28 depending on how much of her health has been depleted. At low enough health, the Queen Bee can perform up to six charges in a row before switching to a different attack. In Expert Mode (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), the speed of these attacks increases as the Queen Bee's health lowers and her charges increase both in speed and number. The Queen Bee will alternate between hovering above the player and positioning herself to swoop in at the player from above during this attack. The stingers have a 1/3 (33.33%) / 100% chance of inflicting the Poisoned debuff for 10 / 2–20 / 2.5–25 seconds. The Queen Bee rapidly fires large yellow stingers at the player which visibly pulsate to indicate their location, similarly to Hornets.During this time, the variables for how many bees she summons could be 6, 12, or 18. The Queen Bee will spawn Bees while hovering (which will include larger ones in Expert Mode), which pursue and attack the player.Upon being summoned, she will always use this attack first. The Queen Bee levels herself horizontally with the player before flying back and forth three times in an attempt to ram the player. The Queen Bee has three distinct attack patterns:
